Arm lift Scar!
Posted by Jessica Ash   •   Friday, 2009-July-03
I am curious about an armlift. My girlfriend had an arm lift  and her scar is visible. Is this normal?

I had an arm lift a couple of years ago. My scar is well hidden. I think it depends on the doctor who performs the procedure.

I had my surgery with Dr. Makhlouf who took the time to make sure that my scar is hidden and I am very happy with my results.

I had gastric bypass. My general surgeon did not do a full tummytuck, but removed some of the extra skin. I’m ok with it, but my arms and thighs …that’s another story. I’m looking for a good doctor.

The general surgeon did a very good thing to improve your health and your longevity. You are now at the next phase to improve the quality of your life.

This is a long term project that requires a long term, comfortable relationship with a physician that you trust. Frequently, procedures on multiple areas of the body are needed.

Although some people will go for a “mega” procedure with hospitalization, trying to fix everything at the same time, I personally prefer a carefully planned approach with surgeries on two, or at the most, three areas of the body.

It allows for safety and the ability to have these procedures as an outpatient, if one takes into account the cost of hospitalization, there is no savings in doing the procedures all at one time.
