When should I have facelift?
Posted by Nina   •   Sunday, 2009-March-01
I am 49 years old. My face is starting to show lines. I would like to look fresher. Am I too young for a facelift?

I believe you should wait. 49 is too young for a facelift.

I disagree. I believe that a person should fix things before they become very apparent so no one can tell  that you had work done. Look at the Hollywood stars. They never seem to age because they are always improving themselves.

I agree with Alice. A facelift should be done early when age starts showing on the face.

I had a facelift and I just love the way I look. I don’t like needles and didn’t want to deal with having to come in 3 times a year for fillers. My facelift was a one time deal for me.

What about all the fillers that are available now?

I can manage with injections two or three times a year and not make a big dent in my budget.

I personally do not believe in preventative facelifts, but I would agree that when a person is starting to constantly notice lines in their face some attempts at improving the situation are very rewarding.

During the consultation I would discuss in detail  the changes that are occurring in the face and highlight the multiple options available, from simple fillers and injections, to surgical procedures to lift the cheek, the neck  or the whole face.
