Children and Tummy Tuck!

I am 23 and have a 2 year old child. I lost all my baby weight, but can’t lose my belly. Would a tummy tuck help? I am planning on more children in the future.

Yeah, I had a baby at 25 and I had a similar situation. I decided to have a tummy tuck and I was very happy with the result and my husband was even happier. It definitely is worth the money and the time. It really helped my self esteem.

All what I know is that I completed my family, had my tummytuck done and did my boobs at the same time. The recovery was not so bad and I am DONE!

I had a small hernia form a previous surgery that my plastic surgeon fixed at the same time , but he was insisting that I had to wear a compression garment for the whole 6 weeks, 24/7. It’s not that comfortable, but it’s worth it in the end.

Because of the time needed to heal, I think you should wait before you have your first tummy tuck.

I don’t know what the rule is, but a friend of mine got remarried after her tummytuck and managed to get pregnant.

Our recommendation is for a woman to complete her family before a tummy tuck. Should a patient become pregnant, she would be able to carry the pregnancy to term. A small touch up to her tummytuck may or may not be needed.
